About Me

I have worked for the NHS for more than 20 years,
excluding a 6 year period working for the Medical Research Council when
I researched Hearing Disorders. I have been employed as a Consultant
Audiologist for the last 16 years within the NHS in the North West and
for the last 11 years I have also worked in the Private Health Sector
assessing and managing all aspects of Audiological care, including the
dispensing of hearing aids.
I enjoy also my other commitments in education and training: as an
Honourary Lecturer in hearing science at the University of Manchester
and Manchester Metropolitan University, as Regional Trainer and Tutor
for post-graduate Clinical Scientists in Audiology for the North West of
England.
I have rooms at the new Withington Community Hospital in West Didsbury
where I have a part time NHS contract as Head of Audiology. This
contract separates my NHS commitments from private Audiological work.
Both the NHS and private patients benefit from this agreement.
